How to have fun snowmobiling in the Poconos.

  • If you own one - Bring your registered snowmobile and enjoy use of trails in one of the local state park. You'll need to have your license and registration with you. State parks require that you wear appropriate headgear and protective goggles for safety. Check in at the state park office within the park, when you arrive and pay any day-pass users fees. Theer you can also get a trail map for that park and stay on the snowmobile-designated paths as cross-country skiers and other winter sports enthusiasts will be using the state park property.

  • Step 2

    Make a reservation at one of our local Poconos Hotels , lodges, inns or resorts, some of which offers discounts or access to snowmobiling. Because the Pocono Mountains offer such diversity for snow sports, many of the area lodges will rent equipment for guest use.

  • Step 3

    One you have choosen a place to stay, then work with one of the snowmobile outfitters below to arrange a half-hour or hour tour as well as night tours with advance reservations. Check age requirements for drivers and riders.

  • Step 4

    Make your reservations well in advance, as Poconos winter sports enthusiasts pack into the Mountains all season long and you will be competing with skiiers for access to the activity. If you are planning for a group trip, expect to make your reservations as far as six months or more in advance to accommodate your whole party.
